I am actually the daughter of this dashing man. My mother passed away about 18 months ago and I think it's time he finds joy in his life again.
My dad is an intellectual. A bit shy, but extremely witty and clever. He is an avid reader and enjoys "the finer things." I think he is currently reading his way through "The 100 Best Classics Ever Written." He has recently joined a book club that reads a variety of genres. He is very balanced. Slow to anger. A wonderful listener. Extremely rational. He was my home town's Mayor for many years and is very well respected - the most ethical man I have ever met. He likes the theater. The symphony. The opera. He also likes Jazz and Blues. I should mention that recently he heard the song, "Call me Baby" and thought it was quite catchy! If he can hum it, he will like it. =)
My dad is a connisseur of fine wine and food. He listens to NPR and has traveled the world, including London, Paris, Madrid, and Turkey, however his most recent vacation was white water rafting in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Needless to say he also enjoys the outdoors.
Someone I believe would be most compatible with him is someone who is well read, intelligent, a conversationalist, outgoing, fun loving, likes to socialize, and is comfortable socializing with an educated crowd.
He was married to my mom for 25 years and they had a great marriage. He was a great husband and treated her like a queen every single day of her life. I have heard that widowers who were happily married make the best husbands becaus to e they know how to love - how give and how to receive.
Oh.....of course I must mention that he comes with a very caring daughter and two beautiful grandchildren! =)
